Kimberly Veal is the Executive Director of Black Nonbelievers of Chicago, Inc., and an Information Technology professional and trainer. Her goals include working toward incorporating information technology in underserved communities to create better access to educational and career opportunities by helping to provide career training, developing programs, goods & services, and a resource center that will encourage and motivate the youth to utilize their talent to create opportunities.
African Americans for Humanism has launched a national multimedia advertising campaign showcasing religious skepticism in the African American community. Coinciding with Black History Month, the campaign features prominent African American humanists from history along with contemporary activists and organizers.
The Black Nonbelievers of Chicago, Inc. would like to invite you to celebrate the National Day of Solidarity for Black Nonbelievers with us on Sunday, February 26, 2012. We will gather at the DuSable Museum to enjoy the rich cultural history exhibits. Our focus topic will be Ms. Lorraine Hansberry, Chicago's very own. Afterwards, we will gather for a meal and to share and fellowship with one another.
